Eberhard Scafograf GMT: From Black sheep To Star
When it comes to the name Nuvolari, its legacy is two-fold. First, there is the man, one of the most brilliant race car drivers the world has ever seen, and then there is the watch, which has become over the years a prominent part of the collection of Eberhard, dedicated to the man. The brand continues this now with the Nuvolari Legend.
While there is a little vintage flavor with the Nuvolari Legend, it does bring a refreshingly modern take on it. Its diameter of 39.5 millimeters makes the watch contemporary, yet also in sync with its predecessors. The bold dial is very easy to read and gives the watch a great deal of character. Of course, it is fitted with a chronograph, with as a nice detail that the tachymeter scale is placed in the middle of the dial in a snail-like shape.
The movement is also a thing of beauty, with its blued screws, engine turned decorations, and beautifully engraved oscillating weight with Nuvolari’s legendary Alfa Romeo race car on it. Fitted with an antiqued leather strap (metal bracelet is optional), it is the finishing touch on the latest contribution of Eberhard to keep the legend of Nuvalori, the man, alive, while continuing the legacy of amazing chronographs that the brand has created for itself.
